THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a Licensed 310T Mechanic to join a well-established environmental services operation in the Niagara Region.

This is a hands-on maintenance role focused on preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a fleet of trucks and equipment. The successful candidate will join a small, team-oriented team where safety, teamwork, and reliability are highly valued.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trucks and heavy equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and air system issues
Complete annual inspections and repairs through maintenance programs
Perform general servicing, running repairs, and breakdown support as required
Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation
Troubleshoot and repair issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
Support fleet reliability by identifying potential issues before failures occur
Perform occasional outdoor repairs at landfill and composting operations
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently and safely
Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

5 years of experience as a 310T Mechanic
310T Truck & Coach Technician License required
Experience diagnosing and repairing trucks and heavy equipment
Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and air systems
Experience with preventative maintenance and fleet servicing
Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Freightliner experience is considered an asset
Heavy equipment, construction, or environmental industry experience is considered an asset
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
Own tools required
