Take charge in the role of Engineer Class 2 for Steam Operations, overseeing essential equipment that supports hospital functionality. Demonstrate your mechanical expertise and problem-solving skills every shift.
As an Engineer Class 2, you will hold a valid Ontario Certificate and have significant experience in steam plant operations. With at least three years of expertise, including two years in plants that meet or exceed the SJHH Charlton's rating, your role is pivotal. You will independently address mechanical challenges while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain boilers, fans, and pumps effectively
• Monitor pneumatic systems and coordinate repairs
• Lead power plant operations when required
• Carry out chemical treatment and testing duties
• Ensure cleanliness and responsible inventory management
Requirements:
• Certificate of Qualification as a Second Class Engineer
• 36 months of operational plant experience
• Minimum 24 months hands-on in rated facilities
• Familiarity with automated processes and troubleshooting
• Commitment to safety regulations and preventive maintenance
