Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a dedicated psychiatrist for a permanent position. You will engage in team-based care for adults, offering consultations and longer-term psychiatric support. This role emphasizes culturally secure practices, trauma-informed care, and a recovery-oriented approach to mental health treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver patient-centered psychiatric care in community settings
• Collaborate with case managers and other health specialists
• Participate in outreach visits and virtual client interactions




• Ensure continuity of care between hospital and community services
• Include families in the treatment process whenever possible
Requirements:
• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada eligibility
• Mandatory membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association
• Experience in managing concurrent substance use disorders
• Clinical faculty appointment with UBC Faculty of Medicine preferred
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology and rehabilitative interventions
