Empower adult learners as a Part-Time Adult Education Teacher, fostering connections to Anishinaabe culture while presenting dynamic curricula. Join us from September to June with the possibility of yearly renewal.
This role requires a commitment to teaching standards set by the Ontario Education Act. You will develop lesson plans, support returning students, and integrate cultural experiences that resonate with community values. Your expertise will help shape curriculum development and ensure effective programming for adult learners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and present engaging lesson plans
• Provide individual support for returning adult students
• Develop and review relevant curriculum materials
• Plan land-based and culturally immersive experiences
• Maintain accurate student assessment records
Requirements:
• Ontario Teachers Certificate in positive standing
• Minimum of three years teaching experience
• Subject qualifications for designated areas
• Vulnerable Sectors Check completion required
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs
