with a preference for directional drilling in StarSteer Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to technical and development decisions Experience supporting regulatory applications, reserves processes, business planning, or development evaluations is considered an asset Support planning and execution of horizontal SAGD wells, including pad development, well placement, subsurface risk assessment, and operational geoscience support Act as a central geoscience contact for drilling-related activities, helping integrate subsurface interpretation with development, drilling, reservoir, and operations requirements Work closely with wellsite personnel to support active drilling operations, including occasional on-call responsibilities as required Identify key geological uncertainties, risks, and opportunities, and communicate implications clearly to multidisciplinary teams. Contribute to continuous improvement in geoscience workflows, drilling support practices, and development integration Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members where appropriate You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 - 6th Ave S.Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs.
