As a member of Whitby’s Fire & Emergency Services team, you will uphold values of Compassion, Integrity, and Excellence. Your responsibilities will include responding to alarms, conducting emergency medical procedures, and operating firefighting equipment. You’ll also participate in training sessions and engage in community safety events to help foster public safety awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to alarms and emergency calls promptly
• Administer emergency medical procedures effectively
• Drive and maintain firefighting equipment safely




• Participate in public safety education programs
• Maintain physical fitness for demanding firefighting duties
Requirements:
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification from recognized Firefighter Training Program
• Valid class “D” driver’s license with “Z” endorsement
• Completed Swim Test from accredited institution
• Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification
