Elevate communication skills as a Speech Pathologist in Early Childhood Special Education. This 1.0 FTE role focuses on providing direct instruction and support to students with communication disorders in a cooperative educational environment. You will be integral in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), maintaining student confidentiality, and advocating for children with communication struggles.
The role requires a valid MN speech-language pathologist teaching license and expertise in working with school-age children. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and general education teachers to enhance curriculum and ensure effective student outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and identify communication disorders of students
- Develop and maintain student IEPs and facilitate meetings
- Provide direct instruction to support IEP goals
- Collaborate with staff on speech and language curriculum
- Advocate for student needs and connect with parents Requirements:
- MN teaching license in Speech Language Pathology
- Master’s degree or equivalent required
- Experience with communication disorders essential
- Knowledge of special education procedures
