Position Type: Casual - Occasionnel

Pay Range : $44.26 - $55.29 per hour

Hours : On demand – days and evenings as required (7am‑7pm & 10am‑10pm shifts)

Responsibilities
Complete initial and ongoing client assessments including substance use history, suicide risk assessment and Best Possible Medication History (BPMH)
Assess client to determine the most appropriate service
Provide education and support to clients in individual and group formats
Develop case management plans in collaboration with the client
Communicate with interdisciplinary services as required
Provide recovery‑based, client/family‑focused, trauma‑informed care
Educate clients on harm reduction strategies
Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing or Diploma in Nursing with extensive experience in clinical area (may be considered)




1–3 years of nursing experience in hospital and/or community setting
Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of Prince Edward Island
Solid knowledge of chemical dependency and substance use
Solid interpersonal, problem‑solving, and individual and group communication skills
Good previous work and attendance record
Knowledge of the Provincial Mental Health Act
Additional relevant education and experience considered an asset
Knowledge and experience using the Telus EMR considered an asset
