As a part of the Hummingbird team, you will provide crisis counselling to those impacted by sexual and intimate partner violence. Your contributions will be instrumental at various medical facilities in Winnipeg, including the Health Sciences Centre. Mentoring recent volunteer advocates and ensuring adherence to best practices will also form part of your role, highlighting your skills within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide crisis counselling and support via crisis lines
• Mentor recent advocates in the SACP program




• Assess needs and risks for callers effectively
• Chart services accurately as per Klinic’s procedures
• Participate in training courses for quality service improvement
Requirements:
• Current member of the SACP program preferred
• Completion of ASIST training required
• Satisfactory background checks mandatory
• Ability to work flexible schedule
• Crisis Worker Certification required within a year
