As we grow, we’re looking for a Staff Accountant who approaches their work with discipline, ownership, and a genuine respect for the craft.

What You’ll Do In this role, you won’t just move files along—you’ll take responsibility for them. From start to finish, you’ll ensure your work is accurate, complete, and stands up to review.

Prepare Notice to Reader financial statements and tax returns for a diverse corporate client base, including files that require deeper analysis and careful attention to detail

Complete complex bookkeeping and accounting with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability

Maintain corporate records to a consistently high standard of accuracy.

Manage government compliance filings

Communicate directly with clients and government agencies, handling questions clearly, professionally, and with confidence

Step into client sites when needed to provide hands-on support and bring clarity to their financial processes.

Take ownership of your files by managing timelines, anticipating issues, and resolving them proactively

Keep managers informed with meaningful updates—not just status reports—highlighting risks and gaps early

Support and mentor junior staff, helping them develop strong habits and a high standard of work

Look for ways to strengthen client relationships by identifying gaps, improving processes, and adding value.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing accurate,



well-prepared work—especially when files become more complex.

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent experience

3–5 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, including experience in public accounting

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis to support financial work

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience with CRA reviews and audits

Strong ability to interpret financial statements

Demonstrated proficiency with CaseWare, Profile, Sage, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, ERP systems, and Microsoft 365

High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a fast-paced team environment

Working knowledge of T1 personal income tax is an asset
