Job Description: We're looking for an EV Battery Systems Engineer to join an cutting-edge team developing next-generation battery systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate electrical, thermal, and degradation models for lithium-ion battery cells, modules, and packs.
- Perform battery simulations using tools such as GT-SUITE, MATLAB/Simulink, Amesim, or equivalent.
- Analyze battery test data for model parameterization and validation.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses, optimization studies, and scenario simulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve battery safety, performance, and reliability.
- Prepare technical reports and present simulation results to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace Engineering, or Applied Physics.
- 2+ years of experience with engineering simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery fundamentals, thermal management, degradation mechanisms, and electrical circuits.
- Experience with battery simulation tools such as GT-SUITE, MATLAB/Simulink, Amesim, or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. with a focus on battery systems, electrochemistry, or thermal management.
- Experience with battery testing, aging studies, and performance evaluation.
- Knowledge of 0D/1D/3D battery modeling.
- Experience with SOC/SOH/SOP estimation, Kalman Filters, embedded controls.
- Programming experience with MATLAB, Python, or Visual C++
