QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy.
Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Specialists of BC as an Occupational Therapist.
Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
One (1) to two (2) years' experience working with Mental Health and Substance Use Services clients.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills And Abilities
Ability to work independently, as a member of a team and with deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to network with other services and agencies.
Demonstrated clinical skills in working with the seriously mentally ill and/or addicted client.
Ability to write transparent, concise reports.
Ability to operate a computer including related software.
Working knowledge of relevant legislature applicable - i.e. Mental Health Act, Guardianship Act.
