Senior Accountant | $75,000 – $90,000 | Toronto (Hybrid)
Most accountants don't leave firms because they're overworked.
They leave because they stop learning.
When every file starts to look the same, every client sounds the same, and every year feels like a repeat of the last one, it's hard to see where the growth comes from.
This opportunity is different.
You'll be joining a well-established Toronto CPA firm of around 20 professionals where exposure isn't something you have to earn after five years. It's built into the role from day one.
You'll work across tax, accounting, assurance, and advisory engagements for a diverse client base that includes owner-managed businesses, investment companies, healthcare professionals, high-net-worth individuals, and financial services clients.
Some days you'll be preparing financial statements and compilations.
Other days you'll be working on corporate tax, trusts, estates, or supporting clients through real business decisions that go beyond compliance.
The variety is genuine, which means the learning curve is too.
Why consider this opportunity?
$75,000 – $90,000 salary depending on experience
Hybrid working environment in Toronto
Exposure across tax, accounting, assurance, and advisory services
Diverse client base across real estate,
healthcare, financial services, and private companies
CPA training office with strong mentorship and support
Collaborative team workplace with direct access to experienced professionals
Opportunity to build broad technical skills rather than being pushed into a narrow specialty too early
Mid-sized firm culture with plenty of client exposure and visibility
What they're looking for:
2–3+ years of public accounting experience
Experience with financial statements, compilations, corporate tax, and private company clients
CPA in progress or an interest in pursuing the designation
Robust communication skills and a client-focused mindset
Someone who enjoys variety and wants to continue developing professionally
A team player who is comfortable in a busy public accounting environment
The accountants who develop the fastest are usually the ones who get exposure to the widest range of situations.
This role offers exactly that.
We support the CPA firms we partner with in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces, and if this role isn't quite right, there's a valuable chance we'll have another public accounting prospect that is.
