Director, Wealth Oversight ProgramsReporting to the AVP, Business Oversight Programs, the Director, Wealth Oversight Programs will be accountable for the end‑to‑end Tier1 supervision and oversight framework for Sun Life’s mutual fund dealer (SLFISI) and securities dealer (SLCSI), overseeing a team of Regional Managers and Corporate Branch Managers to execute Tier1 Wealth Supervision.Oversight & Regulatory AccountabilityOwn and oversee the Tier1 supervision framework ensuring consistent execution across regions, teams, and businesses, including trading supervision, new accounts and KYC reviews, conflicts of interest management, complaints handling, and advisor conduct.Ensure policies, procedures, and supervision manuals are designed, maintained, and applied consistently across both dealers, allowing dealer‑specific nuances where required.Serve as senior escalation point for complex supervision matters, including CBM escalations, regulatory inquiries, audits, and examinations.Partner closely with internal partners including Tier2 Compliance, Field Leaders, Operations, Legal, and Risk People.People Leadership & Organizational EffectivenessProvide direct leadership to up to 10 direct reports, setting clear expectations, performance objectives, and accountability standards.Indirectly lead and influence ~31 Corporate Branch Managers, establishing a strong culture of ownership, consistency, and professional judgment.Build a high‑performing team through regular touchpoints, coaching, and targeted talent development.Establish KPIs, KRIs, QA results and productivity benchmarks to identify high performers and support gaps.Lead by example and cultivate a culture of ownership, accountability and collaboration.Champion DEI and engagement best practices across the BG&C organization.Strategy, Transformation & Continuous ImprovementSet the vision and roadmap for Tier1 supervision across both dealers, aligned to enterprise strategy and regulatory expectations.Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize,



and modernize supervision processes, tools, and reporting.Drive data‑informed decision‑making and continuous improvement across supervision activities.Partner with other BG&C Directors and stakeholders to implement regulatory change and evolve oversight programs.Field Engagement and SupportAct as the principal escalation point for compliance‑related inquiries, matters and issues raised by field leadership.Attend regional events to foster strong relationships with field leadership and advisors and promote a culture of compliance.What do you need to succeed?University degree and a professional designation (MBA, CIM, CFA). Minimum 10years of financial industry experience with knowledge of mutual fund and investment dealer compliance standards and practices.Proficiency in CIRO and CSA rules and guidance, with application in practical situations.Exceptional communication, engagement, and influence skills at senior executive, regulator, field leadership, and advisor levels.Sound judgment, integrity, and independence in managing sensitive and high‑risk matters.Proven track record in building and managing high‑performing, engaged teams, some in remote locations.Strong strategic thinking, balancing regulatory rigor, operational efficiency, and business enablement.Knowledge of wealth products and OSFI‑regulated setting, with alignment to the three lines of defense model.Ability to travel nationally (10‑15%).Additional RequirementsPosition posted in multiple locations; bilingualism (English/French) required for Quebec (oral and written).
