Overview Location: North York, ON Contract Term: February 3, 2026 – February 1, 2027 Work Model: In Office Rate: $100/hour Position Overview A large, regulated enterprise organization is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a critical infrastructure modernization initiative . The program involves modernizing legacy systems and technologies that are mission-critical, highly regulated, and foundational to ongoing operations. The Program Manager will provide structure, clarity, and leadership across a complex technology environment undergoing significant transformation. This role requires strong technical awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to guide executive stakeholders with fact-based, data-driven recommendations . This is a senior, hands-on role suited for a Program Manager comfortable navigating outdated infrastructure, vendor dependencies, and evolving architectural directions. Program Context The enterprise environment currently operates on aging hardware, operating systems, and data center technologies that require modernization to meet current and future operational requirements. Key initiatives include: Upgrading outdated hardware and software platforms Transitioning environments from bare metal to virtualized infrastructure Supporting a long-term shift away from VMware toward Red Hat KVM Migrating systems from 32-bit to 64-bit architecture,



including recompilation for x86 platforms Coordinating dependencies with third-party vendors and solution providers Addressing challenges identified during early proof-of-concept efforts Providing executive leadership with clear options and recommendations for informed decision-making The program is already underway and requires a Program Manager who can quickly assess the current state and guide the next phase of delivery. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership and Delivery Lead end-to-end delivery of a large-scale infrastructure modernization program Establish program structure, governance, timelines, and decision frameworks Coordinate across internal technology teams, external vendors, and executive stakeholders Balance short-term operational stability with long-term architectural objectives Risk Management and Decision Support Identify technical, operational, and delivery risks and opportunities Provide fact-based, data-driven recommendations to support executive decision-making Assess proof-of-concept outcomes and guide next steps Ensure transparency around issues, dependencies, and trade-offs Stakeholder and Executive Engagement Communicate complex technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences Deliver regular executive-level updates on program status, risks,



and milestones Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership during critical decision points Vendor and Technical Coordination Manage relationships with external vendors and solution providers Coordinate internal build efforts and third-party integrations Ensure architectural decisions align with long-term technology strategy Governance and Oversight Maintain strong program controls, reporting, and documentation Drive accountability across all workstreams Ask critical questions when assumptions, timelines, or approaches require validation Mandatory Qualifications Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure or platform modernization programs Strong understanding of data center environments, virtualization, and operating system upgrades Demonstrated ability to identify risks and opportunities and translate them into actionable recommendations Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to operate effectively in complex, legacy technology environments Preferred Qualifications Experience in regulated or mission-critical enterprise environments Familiarity with VMware, Red Hat KVM, or other enterprise virtualization platforms Experience working with third-party vendors or solution providers Work Arrangement This role requires full time, in-office presence in North York. Hands-on collaboration and close engagement with stakeholders are essential to the success of this program.
