Job Description & Summary
At PwC, our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals. In Real Assets, you will advise public and private sector clients in procuring, developing, financing, and executing projects in the energy, infrastructure, and mining sectors. Your work will build on strong commercial and financial acumen, sectoral expertise, project‑management skills, and the ability to coordinate stakeholders and resources.

Responsibilities

Assist in lead M&A; advisory roles for buy‑side and sell‑side mandates of infrastructure assets involving valuation, marketing and deal execution.

Participate in complex project developments, financings, and transactions in the energy, infrastructure, and mining sectors.

Develop financial models and conduct data analysis, including visual representations of data.

Conduct feasibility studies, financial and commercial analysis, and risk assessments for projects and companies.

Perform independent validation of project data.

Support development of project‑management processes and controls.

Write reports, procurement documents, and/or information memorandums.

Undertake market research and benchmarking exercises.

Assist in developing business‑development opportunities, pitch decks, marketing materials, and proposals for the real assets practice.

Assist in developing work plans, indicative schedules and budget estimates.

Assist in developing AI/GenAI use‑case demos and go‑to‑market materials for priority sectors.

Required Skills

Previous experience (including internships) in project finance, M&A;, economic or policy analysis, or engineering consulting/project management.





Interest in pursuing a professional designation in finance (CFA, CBV) or project management (PMP, PQS).

Strong financial modelling abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Analytical skills to extract insights and problem‑solve.

Familiarity with AI/GenAI/Agentic AI use‑case development.

Curiosity, openness to ambiguity, and a learning mindset.

Role does not support completion of the Canadian CPA designation.

Compensation
Salary range: $58,400 – $97,500. Base salary determined by skills, experience, qualifications, and location. Eligible employees may participate in variable incentive pay programs. PwC Canada adheres to pay transparency legislation.
