Overview
At Monarch House, we are committed to making a difference in people’s lives. As an Occupational Therapist (OT) you will develop programs that enable children (age 2‑18) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to participate in activities to their fullest level. Our clinic-based work in Guildford, Surrey offers a adaptable schedule with options for a 4‑day or 3‑day work week, and part‑time or full‑time employment (salary $80,000‑$102,000 per year, prorated for part‑time). We provide relocation allowance up to $5,000, tuition reimbursement, and COTBC registration assistance where eligible.

Responsibilities

Assess client needs and family priorities as part of an interdisciplinary team

Complete assessments using tools such as standardized tests, criterion or curriculum‑referenced materials, or checklists

Develop and implement a treatment plan for each client, based on assessment results

Develop reports as required

Consult to Behaviour Analysts who supervise Applied Behaviour Analysis Programs for Children with ASD and other needs

Work collaboratively with the family and other community professionals

Maintain knowledge of current evidence‑based practices

Collect data and make evidence‑based decisions in treatment

Supervise students pursuing education in Occupational Therapy

Represent the OT department in Monarch House by contributing to clinical policies and procedures and other centre‑wide visions

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience working with children with ASD





Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT)

Experience and familiarity with assessment tools (standardized tests, etc.)

Knowledge of current research and literature in the OT field

Member of COTBC / COTO / ACOT or eligible to apply

Must be authorized to work in Canada

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to take initiative

Flexibility in scheduling clients
