Job Overview
The Youth Programs Associate is personable, detail‑oriented, active, energetic, and a zealous leader who plans youth programs and activities with the Youth Programs, Playroom, and Aquatics Manager. They have an innate ability to program various youth activities such as rock climbing, ninja courses, and youth camps. They have a passion for working with and assisting children and youth, strong leadership skills, and maintain a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the position. Availability required: weekends and evenings. Term: approximately from June 15, 2026 to September 6, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, carry out, and assess developmentally appropriate activities and experiences in harmony with the centre’s philosophy.

Use observations to expand play and plan activities that recognise individual difference.

Ensure the environment is healthy and safe.

Communicate positively and build trust with parents.

Meet and greet familiar and unfamiliar faces.

Answer telephone promptly with an energetic tone.

Process registration and check‑ins, including payment using the software system.

Candidate Profile / Skills

Customer‑oriented, friendly, and outgoing professional with creative skills for building, arranging, and implementing programs for children and youth.

Strong leadership skills, able to recruit, select, train, and develop high‑performing team members and motivate the team.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of adapting communication to different audiences.

Efficient, multi‑tasking, and resourceful with good physical stamina to manage many standing and moving tasks.





Motivated and driven, taking initiative and proactively resolving issues.

Qualifications

Post‑secondary education in health and fitness, rock climbing, or related youth programs is considered an asset.

At least one year direct work experience in youth program development.

Experience working with children from six weeks old to 12 years old.

Current CPR/First Aid certification and maintenance throughout employment.

Recent Criminal Background Check (Vulnerable Sector).
