Join Ecolab’s sales team as a Restaurant Equipment Service Technician , covering the Lower Mainland and the surrounding areas. This opportunity is within our industry leading Institutional division, which offers comprehensive chemical products and solutions to meet the needs of customers across the foodservice and hospitality industries. After completing an initial training program, you will work with a variety of restaurants, hotels, schools and long-term career facilities. You will serve as the face of Ecolab by installing, servicing, and maintaining ware washing, laundry, and dispensing systems that drive a positive guest experience and create cleaner, safer, and healthier environments.

What You Will Do:
Apply your mechanical aptitude to install, repair and perform maintenance on ware washing, laundry and dispensing equipment and systems; leveraging this service to strengthen the customer relationship
Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of commercial kitchen and laundry appliances.
Demonstrate safe equipment use, ensuring that your customers’ facilities are fully operational and teams are properly trained
Manage parts inventory, use, and cost; Complete required reporting of service work
Ensuring that your customers’ facilities are fully operational and teams are properly trained by demonstrating protected equipment use

Minimum Qualifications:
Completed High School Diploma or GED. Post-secondary education preferred.
Minimum of 2 years mechanical problem-solving experience (e.g. plumbing, electrical, HVAC and/or mechanical experience)




Flexibility to adjust your schedule and hours of work to meet the business needs of the customer
Ability to travel to the US for training/meetings
Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Territory Coverage: Lower Mainland (downtown Vancouver, Fraser Valley) with occasional travel to Vancouver Island and the surrounding areas
Overnight Travel: Approximately 5 per month
Weekend Coverage: Weekend coverage may be required based on business needs (approximately once every quarter)

Physical Demands:
Lifting/Carrying - up to 100 lbs
Bending/Stretching/Twisting - up to 50% of time
Reaching - up to 50% of time; above, at and below shoulder level during installations
Crouching/Kneeling/Crawling – about 30% of time
Repetitive Movement - up to 50% of time
Manual Dexterity - up to 50% of time to install, wire and maintain mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
Use of Power and Hand Tools - up to 50% of time

Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential recent employee such as education, training, experience, work location, travel (if required), etc.



$28.60 – $35.70 / hour - this position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:
Service industry mechanical experience (e.g. refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC and/or military experience)
Customer service experience where you have directly interfaced with customers
