Hourly Rate Range
$41.15 - $58.98
Position Responsibilities
- Care of acutely ill, cardio‑respiratory and medical patients including clients with Acute Coronary Syndrome.
- Telemetry monitoring, care planning and coordination of care with various team members.
- Utilization of computerized systems for documentation of patient care.
- Participation in project teams or Hospital committees as required.
- Resource/team leader responsibilities.
- Preceptorship of nursing students and new orientees.
Qualifications
- Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- BCLS certification upon hire.
- Previous coronary care and telemetry experience preferred.
- 2 years acute medical/surgical experience preferred.
- Coronary Care Level 1 required or willingness to obtain within 6 months; commitment to complete Coronary Care Level 2 within 1 year.
- Physical Assessment course preferred.
- Excellent customer service, problem‑solving, conflict resolution, and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent patient/family teaching skills and ability to promote family‑centered care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work with multidisciplinary team, patients, family members, and visitors.
- Computer skills and excellent organizational skills with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to rotate to other departments.
- Excellent attendance and discipline‑free record required.
- Understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
