Our Family Resource Network in Innisfail is seeking a: Full Time Permanent Family Support Worker
The FRN (Family Resource Network) is funded through the Childcare and Early Intervention Delivery Branch of The Ministry of Children and Family Services and has been created to provide Alberta families, with children aged 0-18 and youth up to age 24 with evidence based and informed services. The services offered by the FRN will include child development, well-being support, caregiver capacity building support, and social connections and support.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Post secondary diploma at minimum, preferred degree directly related to Human Services from an approved institution
Required 1 year of frontline human services experience, preferred 3 years of human services work related to working with families
Committed to provide common sense, understandable and helpful parenting skills.
Basic First Aid Level C with adult, child, and infant CPR &AED




Suicide Intervention Training & De-Escalation Training
Intervention Record & Criminal Record Checks with the vulnerable sector
Class 5 drivers license, clean drivers abstract and reliable vehicle for client transportation required.
Knowledge of the Child, Youth, Family Enhancement Act considered an asset.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
In home support to families with children aged 0-18
Family Assessment and Intervention
Coaching and mentoring parents
Life skills training with parents and children (6 - 18 yrs.)
Linking families with community services
Family support and advocacy
Driving clients to and from designated locations.
Facilitating Case Conferences and Family Support Network Meetings
Group facilitation of children, youth, and parents
Wage Range: $25.84/hr. - $28.90/hr. Plus, Travel reimbursed at $0.57/KM.

Hours of work: 40 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule including afternoons, some evenings and weekends to provide services that serve a wide range of populations.
