Who You AreAs the VP of Finance, you will act as a key partner to the ecobee leadership team, driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term growth while acting as a strong financial steward for the organization.This role oversees core finance functions including FP&A, reporting, accounting, financial operations, treasury, and tax, while improving systems, controls, and data‑driven decision‑making across the business.Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Finance will also support strategic initiatives and M&A activity, including evaluating acquisition opportunities, leading financial due diligence, assessing synergies and risks, and supporting acquisition integration.The ideal candidate combines strong strategic vision, financial stewardship, operational leadership, and commercial acumen with a player‑coach, business‑partnering bias. They are expected to translate financial insights into actionable initiatives, optimize capital allocation, improve organizational performance, and help sustainably scale the organization.This role follows a hybrid schedule, with in‑office work required on Wednesdays and Thursdays to support collaboration, and flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.How You’ll Make an ImpactPartner closely with the CFO and leadership to shape strategic initiativesTransform the finance team into an AI‑forward, business‑centric organizationChampion FP&A, managing short‑term forecasts, mid‑term budgets, and long‑range planInfluence capital allocation and business / decision‑making guardrailsSupport end‑to‑end M&A evaluation, financial due diligence,



and integration effortsDeepen ecosystem synergies within the Generac residential businessConsult and partner with business leaders in commercial negotiationsTranslate financial performance into business insights as part of business rhythmsOversee productive, scaled and on‑time financial reporting and month‑end close processOversee corporate reporting, financial operations, accounting research and complianceOversee treasury including banking relationships and optimizing cash flowOversee tax compliance (direct tax, indirect tax preparation, transfer pricing, SR&ED)Lead and coach the finance team, with a focus on up‑skilling and talent developmentWhat You’ll Bring to the TableProfessional Accountant (CPA). CFA, CBV or MBA are a plus10+ years of public/private finance and accounting leadership experience5+ years of direct experience in Technology, Professional Trades, or SaaS IndustriesA visionary leader who prioritizes strategic growth and organizational developmentConfident operator who navigates by investment thesis and Return on Investment (ROI)Brings an entrepreneurial spirit balancing financial discipline with value creationExceptional communicator with experience collaborating with senior leadershipExperience in end‑to‑end M&A (sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, and integration)Extensive experience in US GAAP,



IFRS requiredExperience in US and Canadian Tax required. International tax experience, preferredProficient user of Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft 365 Apps / CoPilot and Workday AdaptiveJust so you know: The hired candidate will be required to complete a background and credit check.What Happens After You ApplyApplication review.
