You will apply the principles of materials science to conduct investigations, analyze and characterize damaged jet engine components.As a failure analyst, you will also oversee the related evaluations required in the course of your investigations such as non-destructive evaluations, chemical analyses or others.The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday,



with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.What will your day-to-day look like?Conduct metallurgical investigations of engine hardware, organize and perform detailed examinations and appropriate laboratory analyses (visual and microscopic examinations, metallurgical evaluation, etc.) to determine failure mechanisms and establish the physical causes of distressWork closely with internal customers to determine their needs and ensure completion of the investigations within the agreed schedulePrepare detailed reports with supporting evidenceManage and review outsourced metallurgical investigationsReview metallurgical evaluations reports on engine hardwareParticipate and contribute to the promotion of the company's pillars (EH&S, Ethics & Quality)What do you need to be successful?Bachelor's degree in materials engineering or equivalentPractical experience in failure analysisExperience in optical and scanning electron microscopyHands on knowledge of degradation mechanisms of various types of materials in serviceKnowledge of heat treatment, coatings, machining, welding, casting and forging processesAble to research and assimilate new knowledge quicklyExcellent abilities for communicationStrong aptitudes for teamworkLeadership, motivated, autonomous, dependable and focused on resultsThis position is part of a French-speaking work environment,
