Job Description We are currently seeking a qualified Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our
Corporate HR team based in our Calgary, AB downtown office.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a vital role in supporting
Bantrels
Human Resources team by managing end-to-end recruitment activities across corporate and project functions.
This position contributes directly to organizational success by attracting top talent, enhancing candidate experience, and supporting strategic workforce planning.
The successful candidate will also help foster an inclusive workplace by championing diversity throughout the hiring process.
Join usin thisfull-timepermanentrole Duties & Responsibilities: Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessments, reference checks, offer development, and onboarding coordination.
Partner with hiring leaders, project stakeholders, and HR team members to understand workforce requirements, develop recruitment strategies, and align talent acquisition activities with businessobjectives.
Manage integrated project staffing requirements through regular stakeholderengagement,maintainingvisibility into hiring progress, workforce demands, and resource planning needs.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies using Linked
In Recruiter, talent mapping, networking, referrals, campus recruitment, and other sourcing channels to attract qualified candidates.
Build andmaintainproactive talent pipelines to support current and future workforce needs.
Manage relationships with post-secondary institutions and lead campus recruitment and early-career talent initiatives.
Support engagement with external recruitment agencies asrequired, ensuring alignment with organizational hiring standards and processes.
Promote an inclusive recruitment approach by supporting diversity, equity,
and inclusionobjectivesthroughout the hiring process.
Ensure compliance with recruitment procedures through the consistent use of screening, interviewing, assessment, reference-checking, and documentation standards.
Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders by providing guidance on recruitment processes, labour market trends, candidate availability, and best hiring practices.
Maintainaccuratecandidate records and recruitment activity within Smart
Recruiters, Linked
In Recruiter, and other talent acquisition systems.
Track, analyze, and report on recruitment metrics and key performance indicators to support workforce planning, strategic decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support the adoption, optimization, and effective use of recruitment technologies, including ATS enhancements and AI-enabled recruitment tools.
Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment processes, sourcing effectiveness, and candidate experience.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor''s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 810 years ofdirectly relatedexperience, preferably within engineering, construction, or related industries.
Experience managing full-cycle recruitment and multiple requisitions simultaneously.
As well as talent pipelining.
Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, anda commitment tocontinuousimprovement &learning; to effectively respond to evolving workforce needs and support strategic hiring goals.
Applies strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills to managecompetingpriorities, address recruitment challenges, and deliver successful hiring outcomes.
Robust stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiencywith Applicant Tracking Systems (Smart
Recruiters preferred) and Linked
In Recruiter& Talent Insights.
Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation is considered an asset.
