The Opportunity As the Manager of Cybersecurity , youll be at the helm of Surrey Places cybersecurity strategy, ensuring the safety and integrity of its systems, infrastructure, and sensitive information.
Reporting directly to the Director of ICT, this role allows you to: Lead risk assessments and security operations to mitigate threats effectively.
Shape and implement a cybersecurity roadmap that aligns with organizational goals.
Mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering growth and innovation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure compliance with industry standards.
What Success Looks Like First 3 Months: Gain a thorough understanding of Surrey Places cybersecurity infrastructure, policies, and frameworks.
Develop a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy and evaluate third-party security vendors.
First Year: Execute the cybersecurity strategy, integrating advanced tools and establishing training programs.
Test and refine business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Implement robust cybersecurity policies across all organizational functions.
What You Bring to the Table Were seeking a seasoned professional with a proven track record of leading cybersecurity efforts in complex environments: Experience: 7+ years in cybersecurity, with a focus on healthcare or NPO industries.
Designations: Either CISSP or CISM Technical Expertise: Proficiency in McAfee Endpoint Protection, Palo Alto Cortex, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Microsoft Azure.
Leadership: Experience managing and mentoring cybersecurity professionals.
Strategic Vision: A knack for cybersecurity strategy development,
policy compliance enforcement, and risk evaluation.
Tools & Frameworks: Familiarity with Proof
Point, Splunk, Azure Sentinel, Crowdstrike, and other advanced tools.
Certifications: CISA or equivalent designation (an asset).
Compliance & Governance: Understanding of regulatory standards, vulnerability, and patch management processes.
