HSE Coordinator Calgary, AB A growing Calgary-based General Contractor specializing in commercial and mixed-use residential construction is seeking an experienced Health Safety Environment Coordinator to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys being actively involved in construction operations, working closely with site teams, and helping drive a solid safety culture across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities Coordinate and maintain the company''s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program.

Manage and support COR certification requirements and ongoing compliance initiatives.

Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.

Lead new worker orientations and safety training programs.

Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, and develop corrective action plans.

Assist project teams with site-specific safety plans and documentation.

Monitor compliance with company policies, provincial legislation, and industry best practices.

Support supervisors and management in promoting safe work practices and positive safety engagement.

Maintain safety records, reports, statistics, and regulatory documentation.

Participate in safety meetings and provide guidance to field and office personnel.

Qualifications NCSO designation (or equivalent safety certification) preferred. 3+ years of experience in a construction safety role.





Strong knowledge of Alberta OHS legislation and COR requirements.

Experience working on active commercial, residential, or mixed-use construction projects.

Strong incident investigation, inspection, and hazard assessment experience.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build positive working relationships with both field and office teams.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital safety management systems.

Valid driver''s license and ability to travel between project sites within the Calgary region.
