Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines P&C; Senior Underwriter to join our team.
This individual will play a key role in driving the company''s growth and profitability.
This position requires assessing the acceptability of business opportunities in line with company guidelines, including reviewing and pricing new submissions, renewal business, and endorsements.
The successful candidates will leverage their expertise, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset to develop strong broker relationships and grow their book of business.
Our Senior Underwriters work closely with experienced practice leaders, managers, and executives, supported by an extensive product range, ample capacity, and the empowerment needed to succeed.
In collaboration with colleagues and management, they deliver value-added expertise and exceptional service to our broker partners.
We are looking for a candidates based in the Atlantic Canada region (NL, NS, NB, or PEI).

Brokeringexperience Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or actively pursuing (CAIB or equivalent accepted) Have a valid Broker license or ability to qualify for one within 90 days of employment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Have existing relationships within the industry you can leverage to attract business opportunities and grow your portfolio Can lead a business development meeting with a broker to strengthen the existing relationship and prospect for new opportunities Have attended insurance industry events, such as broker conventions and networking events Familiarity with basic legal structures in Canada Advantages By joining HUB International, youll become part of a rapidly growing company focused on providing innovative insurance solutions to support independent brokers in Canada.
