Your Role: At the Heart of the Chain Core Duties: 1.
Health & Safety Ensure compliance with Health & Safety protocols andmaintaina hazard-free work environment.
Enforce safe working methods and behaviors within the team.
Conduct safety audits and warehouse checks.
Make sure everyone meets safety standards.
Respond to emergencies asrequired.
Lead the unloading of the truck, ensuring team efficiency and enforcing safety measures. 2.
Leadership & Team Support Motivate and lead sorters; be their point of reference.
Mentor and support Package Handlers during thesortprocess.
Coach and mentor warehouse associates, including training new hires.
Respond quickly to requests for changes and unforeseen events.
Forwardspecial casesto supervisors or managers.
Perform related tasks assigned by supervisors. 3.
Operations & Workflow Management Support the supervision of sorting, scanning, and processing packages (including defective items and returns).
Setup sorting layout.
Assistwith sorting packages and envelopes as needed.
Assign labour and manage workforce deployment asrequired.
Perform data entry as needed. 4.
Shipping & Receiving Unload trailers and verify freight against manifests.
Unloading and loading of pallets.
Handle driver credentials, BOL (Bill of Lading) exchange, and secure docking. 5.
Warehouse Organization Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization.
