Position: Teacher

Description: Grade 7 Teacher

Location: RL Angus Elementary

Status: Full Time Term Appointment(1.0 FTE)

Commencement Date: September 1,2026 – June 18, 2027 (with possibility of continuing contract)

This Position is covering for an extended leave and may be extended to a continuing contract in the 2027/2028 School year; please inquire for details.

The above job vacancy is eligible for a pre-employment hiring incentive of $ 10,000.00 in return for a successful candidate accepting a job offer for this position. Note: Candidates are not eligible for the above if they were previously paid a pre-employment hiring incentive for a teaching position in the K-12 sector (in the 2023/2024, 2024/2025 or 2025/2026 school years under the provincial hiring incentives program). Qualifications

Successful Classroom teaching experience

Knowledge of and willingness to use, current best practices in education.

Familiarity with BC Curriculum

A strong team orientation.

Excellent planning and organization skills.

A desire to grow professionally.

Transparent Criminal Record Check.

The starting annual salary for this Elementary School Teacher position ranges from $68,492 to $118,751 with the placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
