Job Summary
The Work‑Integrated Learning & Co‑operative Education at Dalhousie University is responsible for securing and managing quality work term opportunities for almost 2,000+ students annually in 27 Co‑op and Work‑Integrated Learning ( WIL ) programs across four faculties and a college. Reporting to the Employer Relations Manager, the Employer Relations Coordinator will build and manage employer and community partnerships to create Co‑op and Work‑Integrated learning opportunities for Dalhousie students. The role focuses on employer outreach, recruitment support, relationship management, student work term success, and organizing employer engagement events to strengthen industry connections and enhance student employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities





Develop and manage strategic relationships with employers and community partners to create high-quality Co‑op and Work‑Integrated learning opportunities for students.

Conduct employer outreach, prospecting, account management, and pipeline development to expand hiring opportunities across public, private, and not‑for‑profit sectors.

Serve as a trusted advisor to employers by providing guidance on recruitment strategies, talent pipelines, compensation practices, funding programs, and student hiring.

Support employers throughout the recruitment cycle, including job development, job postings, onboarding, work‑term planning, and student work term success.

Monitor and support student work experiences through employer engagement, workplace issue resolution, partnership management, and tracking of learning outcomes and program quality.

Lead employer engagement, networking, marketing, and promotional initiatives while representing Dalhousie University at industry events, conferences, and community events.

Note
There are two term positions available, one two-year and one eighteen-month. Candidates are asked to indicate in their application if they have a preference of term length.

The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and work from home from within Nova Scotia) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
