Our client in the healthcare sector is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to support a multi-site health care environment. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where your work will directly contribute to the safety and well-being of staff.

Your Responsibilities





You’ll conduct mask fit testing for staff and support ongoing compliance initiatives

You’ll lead training sessions on proper body mechanics, including lifting techniques for clinical teams

You’ll perform ergonomic assessments and provide practical recommendations

You’ll develop and implement safety plans, addressing employee concerns and workplace risks

You’ll support workplace violence prevention initiatives aligned with Ontario legislation

You’ll assist with Ministry of Labour injury investigations and reporting

Skills and Qualifications

3+ years of health and safety experience, preferably within healthcare or similar environments

Strong understanding of Ontario health and safety legislation, including workplace violence standards

Experience delivering training sessions and engaging diverse teams

Knowledge of ergonomic assessments and injury prevention practices

Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to safety concerns proactively

Solid communication and interpersonal skills
