The Fabrication Production Assembler is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by performing basic fabrication tasks, machine operation and preparing materials according to specifications.
This role ensures products meet quality, safety, and production standards while maintaining a clean and effective work environment.
Shifts Available: Weekday Day shift (8am 4:30pm, Monday - Friday).
Weekday Night shift (4pm 12:30am, Monday Friday) 10% shift premium Weekend Nights 4pm 2:30am (10 hours) Shift pattern will be Friday Sunday (week 1) and Thursday Sunday (week 2) 10% shift premium Salary: 19.50 per hour Key Responsibilities Fabrication & Assembly Operate equipment such as press brakes, pallet jack and strapping units.
Measure, cut, shape, and prepare materials according to drawings or work orders.
Perform general assembly and finishing tasks including sanding, deburring, and surface prep.
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, schematics, and instructions.
Maintain accurate production records and complete work orders on time.
Prepare surfaces for painting or powder coating by sanding, cleaning, masking, and inspecting.
Assist with powder coating processes, including:
o Hanging and staging parts o Applying powder (if trained or required) o Inspecting coated products for coverage, finish quality, and defects Maintain cleanliness and organization of paint/powder equipment and work area.
Safety & Maintenance Follow all safety procedures, including PPE, equipment operation, and chemical handling.
Conduct routine equipment checks and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Support housekeeping and organization through 5S or similar practices.
Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, painting, or powder coating preferred.
Ability to operate or learn basic fabrication tools and finishing equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality, especially in surface finishing.
Ability to read and follow instructions, drawings, and safety guidelines.
Able to lift up to 50lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Basic math skills for measuring and material handling.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with spray painting, powder application, or industrial coating equipment.
Forklift or material-handling experience.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement.
