RESPONSIBILITIES Operate the bus in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life; Follow all relevant legislation, policies and procedures; Perform safety and maintenance checks of the bus pre-trip and post-trip; Advise the Transportation Coordinator of any requirements for maintenance or repairs; Pick up and deliver students as per a set schedule; Ensure students are aware of rules and responsibilities as passengers; Make note of any behavioural or disciplinary issues; Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Meet the minimum age requirements to hold a school bus drivers license in the province of Ontario; Hold a class B license; Must hold a valid (non-probationary) drivers license for Ontario; Possess a very valuable driving record; Must undergo pre-employment drug testing with satisfactory results and comply with our random drug check policy for student safety; Must be safety-minded, courteous and able to demonstrate an appreciation of the importance of customer service; Must enjoy driving and working with children.
