Perform product safety development activities.

Conduct safety and hazard assessments and analyses on projects involving complex electromechanical systems with a significant software component.

Perform software criticality analysis.

Develop product software safety requirements to meet customer and mission requirements.

Perform trade-off studies to ensure requirements are appropriate.

Work with design, systems engineering, and software teams to ensure safety-related inputs are incorporated into the design.

Analyze safety-critical software documentation and source code.

Analyze reused software for safety.

Defend safety decisions to internal and external customers.

Ensure safety requirements are met during the design phase.

Contribute to System Safety Analysis Reports.

Present safety designs at safety review panels.

What you must have: 5+ years of software safety experience in a safety-critical development environment, preferably in aerospace.





Bachelor''s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.

Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to develop safety requirements.

Ability to manage multiple projects and teams.

Solid aptitude for continuous improvement.

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Nice to Have Experience with the Canadian Space Agency or NASA is an asset.

Salary/Rate Range: $95,000$132,000 / year CAD (depending on experience) Thank you for your interest in this opportunity.
