AOT Technologies is seeking a Senior Data Architect to join our team and help design and deliver scalable, modern data platforms for enterprise and public sector clients.

Role And Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Architect, you will design and implement scalable,



cloud‑native data platforms for enterprise and public sector clients. You will lead engineering teams, drive architecture decisions, and deliver modern data solutions using Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and leading cloud technologies.

You Will

Design and implement scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Databricks and cloud platforms

Lead architecture decisions for modern data platforms, including Medallion Architecture and Lakehouse patterns

Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL, following engineering best practicesLead and mentor engineering teams, coordinating deliveries and driving technical standards

Establish and evolve CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for data platforms

Partner with clients and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions

Champion data governance, quality, and security using tools such as Unity Catalog

Contribute to platform modernization initiatives, including Data Warehouse to Lakehouse migrations

Apply Agile methodologies to plan, iterate, and deliver data engineering projects effectively

Who You Are
You are an experienced data engineering leader who combines deep technical expertise with the ability to lead teams, influence strategy, and deliver enterprise-scale solutions. You’re energized by complex data challenges and take pride in building platforms that are reliable, scalable, and well‑governed.

Must‑Have Skills





4+ years of hands‑on experience with Databricks, including Unity Catalog, Data Ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, and Medallion Architecture

Strong programming experience in Python and SQL

5+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

5+ years of experience as a technical lead or architect, leading engineering teams and coordinating deliveries

10+ years of overall experience in software development or IT

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and engineering practices

Nice‑to‑Have

Minimum 1+ year of experience with the Microsoft Data Engineering stack, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Lakehouse / OneLake

Exposure to AI / Machine Learning solutions

Domain experience in healthcare or financial services domains

Experience with Power BI, semantic datasets, and Power Query

Full‑stack development experience with Python, Java, .NET Core, and React or Angular

Experience in data warehouse to lakehouse migration and platform modernization

Databricks and/or Azure Data Engineer certifications

Salary range of $115K to $145K CAD, commensurate with experience
