Role Description
The Product Marketing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Markham, ON. This role is responsible for supporting product positioning and promotion by conducting market and competitive analysis, identifying customer needs, and helping shape product strategy. Day-to-day tasks include preparing product and sales collateral, participating in go-to-market planning, coordinating with product management, sales, and engineering teams, and supporting product launches. The specialist will analyze product performance, collect feedback from customers and internal stakeholders, and provide insights to improve messaging and market fit. The role also involves maintaining accurate product information, assisting with pricing and value propositions, and contributing to digital and traditional marketing campaigns that drive demand.

Handle RFQs, RFPs

Costing and Pricing of product lines

Manage product sampling on new programs

Development of marketing materials including product literature, samples, sample cases and other marketing collateral

Prepare status reports of projects and key departmental indicators

Ensure BOM costs are correct

Ensure part numbering system is correctly implemented

Monitor on-going cost reduction initiatives and implementation





Provide technical assistance to customers & sales team

Support business planning activities, including sales analysis, order and revenue forecast tracking, pipeline reviews, and product line performance reporting

Support market analysis, including customer, competitor, pricing, and industry trend reviews to identify business opportunities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related degree.

Robust market research and analytical skills to assess trends, competitors, and customer requirements.

3+ years of experience preferably in the interconnect industry, industrial automation, data/ telecom, automotive

Effective communication skills for creating clear product messaging and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, B+B and revenue trends, pricing information, and customer demand to support business decisions

Experience with go-to-market strategy, including launch planning, positioning, and channel enablement.

Familiarity with sales processes and collaboration with sales teams to develop tools, presentations, and training materials.

Understanding of product management principles, including product lifecycle, roadmap alignment, and value proposition development.

Proficiency with productivity and presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, CRM or marketing automation platforms).

Ability to work on-site in Markham, ON, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a technical, fast-paced environment.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills,



including data analysis, pivot tables, formulas, and reporting; strong PowerPoint skills are also required

Experience in electronics or technology-related industries is an asset.

Experience in QAD is an asset.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 – $80,000 annually. In determining the rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol’s total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and membership in our Defined Contribution Pension Plan. Our employees are also eligible for participation in an annual incentive bonus program based on their position.
