Our Finance headquarters are located in Winnipeg, Canada where the accounting function is performed centrally for our facilities in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. As a Financial Analyst you will be exposed to accounting and operations on a global scale and build the unique knowledge and expertise of one of the world's largest independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers.

What You’ll Do
Perform qualified accounting work in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and reporting requirements
Maintain general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy
Preparation of monthly journal entries
Reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis ensuring proper support and procedures are maintained
Actively participate in the maintenance of the control environment ensuring processes and procedures are followed as required.
Participate in interim and year-end audit activities as required
Assist in the preparation of various internal and external reporting requirements including quarterly working papers and financial statement disclosure.
Promote teamwork, cooperation and effective communication within the finance department.
Position Requirements:
Must be authorized to work in Canada
Minimum 3 years experience as an accounting or finance analyst or other related experience
Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field
Holds (or is actively pursuing) a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA). Individuals with an equivalent mix of experience and education will also be considered
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft suite applications
Preferred Characteristics:
Working in an aviation/aerospace or manufacturing environment preferred
Cost accounting experience preferred
Working knowledge of Oracle system an asset
Strong attention to detail with interest in process improvement
Ability to work independently - multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities in order to meet deadlines
Strong communication and analytical skills
