We are an integrated project and engineering equipment fabricator specializing in the modularized design and packaging of process, refrigeration, and rotating equipment solutions. Most of our solutions are related to Energy Transition and carbon reduction industries.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Startec Compression & Process is currently recruiting a Tube Bender to work at our Shepard Shop (9423 Shepard Rd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 4R6). The Tubing Bender will be able to install, support, and test tubing. This role involves hands-on learning and active participation in a variety of projects, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Shift Details: 5:50am - 4:20pm (4 days/week,10 hours/day). Overtime is as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to bend and support tubing

Fabrication Shop experience and asset

2 years of industrial instrument construction/manufacturing experience

Well organized, excellent communication skills, work well in a team environment

Applicable tooling required

Required to pass a Functional Alcohol and Drug test prior to onboarding

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
INSTRUMENTATION & ASSEMBLY (Weighting 40%)
Tubing Installation

Fabrication and installation of tubing





Fabricate and install tubing raceway

Mount and Install instruments

Design

Skid layout using P&ID;'s, GA's

Work closely with other trades to optimize the design of units

TESTING & CALIBRATION (Weighting 30%)

Pneumatic testing of tubing is required to ensure workmanship and quality

Keep detailed records of all installation, testing, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards

COLLABORATION (Weighting 30%)
Professional Conduct

Professional interaction with internal customers, vendors, customer representatives, and inspectors

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations

Participate in Toolbox meetings, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation measures

Continuous improvement & Development

Foster an setting of continuous improvement

Participate in training programs: Engage in ongoing training and development to stay current with new technologies, standards, and best practices in instrumentation
