Job Description At ADGA, our teams support Government and industry partners on projects that protect critical systems and strengthen operational readiness.
We are seekinga Software Architect with knowledge of systems of systems design, and solid Dev
Ops background.
The role is to support the development of the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) Cloud-Native training environment.
Require someone with robust triage and self/time management skills as the RCN develops, pivots to right fit solutions.
Exhaustive Cloud-Native architecture knowledge is notimmediatelyrequired, there isinitialproject scope to support development ofthe successful candidatewith promising transferable, adaptive knowledge and skills.
Within this roleindividuals with the required knowledge and/or transferrable skills will have the opportunity todevelop the capabilities to deliver the requirements listed below.
This posting is foran anticipatedposition expected tocommencein mid-September.

Key Requirements: Develop
Cloud-Nativearchitectureforthe RCNCloudcomponentsystemsand the Synthetic Training hub, so that each can be deployedas collaborative self-contained unitsrelying only on public or private Cloud-Native infrastructure.

Create
Horizon and Synthetic
Training Hubdocumentation including but not limited to:block levelarchitecturalcomponent design diagrams, networktraffic diagrams and firewall rulesets documentingallowedtrafficflow between components,swim-lanediagrams showingauthentication states ofrelevant personas, for each required workflow, and tables identifying howeach componentsystemimplements each required security control, orhow the componentinherits the securitycontrol implementation from its containing environment.
Develop
IaCDeployments for Navy
Organizational infrastructurerequiredto support
Cloudand Synthetic Training Hub pipelines.
Develop Cloud-Native
IaCdeployments for Navy Cloudcomponent systems and the Synthetic Training hub, so thatthe RCN or CAF caneasily size and tune its deployments tomeet performance requirements, reduce cost andeasily re-deployon demanddeliverablesystemsshouldnew requirements oremergency situations requiringrapid re-deployment.
BuildTLA components from source when required, to create enable container creation.
DevelopTLA Component containers for use in Horizon
Kubernetesdeployments.
Develop
Synthetic Training Hub containers todeliverco-operativemulti-user M&S; scenariosandtheir requireduser experienceinfrastructure.
Qualifications Must have aBachelors Degreefrom aCanadian
University(orrecognized by the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials (CICIC))ora recognized College Technical Diploma infield of Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics. 10+years ofprogressiveexperienceas a Software Developer At least 4 yearsrecent experience as aSoftware Architect designing, developing, and deploying software systems,as well as experience working on multiple projects with the following: Deriving functional requirements in Software Architecture systems Designing complex software systems which includes software and IT architecture Developing complex software systems including software and IT architecture Working in a Microsoft, and Unix/Linux operating system environment Integrating and testing software in a Software Architecture system Generated, updated, andmaintainedsoftware design documentation Determiningand implementing IT infrastructure Additional Information Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain andmaintaina
Secret (Level II)Canadian Federal Government Security clearance VCR and Controlled Goods clearances.
Work can be done remotely from within Canada.
The posted salary reflects an employee compensation model; consultant rates will be adjusted accordingly.
We will consider candidates for either employment or consultant arrangements.
