Registered Dietitian at Laurel Place, Surrey West

Cana is looking for Part -time Dietician with a passion for the elderly to join one of our teams to support our residents in Surrey .

Dietitian

Must Haves: Bachelor''s Degree in Nutrition or a related field Maintains Food Safe Level 1 Certificate.

Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia Legally allowed to work in Canada.

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints.

Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Passes and complies with Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check upon hire and every 5 years thereafter.





Dietitian

Nice to Haves: Previous experience in Long-term Care Facility and/or food service establishment.

Dietitian

Responsibilities: Reviews menus and performs required audits, observes delivery of meals, checks food quality and advises Food Services to ensure all nutritional requirements of residents are met.

Develops documentation and reporting systems to maintain records and communication regarding nutritional assessments alongside compliance to therapeutic diet requirements and nutritional care plans including MDS (minimal data set) or PCC Point Click Care assessments of safe practice.

Provides clinical dietetic support to the multi-disciplinary care planning team by assessing residents'' nutritional status and implementing nutritional care plans to meet those needs.

Maintains communication with family members of residents as required.

Maintains communication with the medical staff, other departmental staff, health care professionals and other external agencies.

Ensures residents'' right of privacy and confidentiality are maintained.

Ensures adherence to Infection Control Practices and provides education to Team Member as required for Outbreak and basic infection control practices.
