A leading global manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior General Accountant to join its Finance team. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has strong expertise in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement .
Reporting to the Finance Department Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting while supporting business planning, compliance, and operational decision-making. This role also offers the chance to mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a global manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do
Prepare and post month-end journal entries across payroll, banking, intercompany, leasing, and accounts receivable
Complete monthly account reconciliations , including payroll, leases, banking, and intercompany balances
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting working papers
Support budgeting and forecasting , including labour, benefits, and balance sheet accounts
Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and manage banking transactions
Produce financial reports and analysis for labour, sales, accruals, and operational performance
Prepare and submit government filings including HST, WSIB, and other statutory reporting
Support month-end, forecast, and budget uploads within OneStream and Hyperion
Assist with lease accounting and maintain accurate reporting within Lease Accelerator
Liaise with external auditors, financial institutions, and government agencies
Support the Cost Accountant as required
Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reporting accuracy
Mentor and support junior accounting staff and finance co-op students
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Payroll, and Business Development
What We're Looking For
CPA designation or CPA in process
3+ years of progressive accounting experience
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting , financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems such as AS400, Hyperion, OneStream, ADP , or similar platforms
Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Manufacturing experience is highly preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines
