Senior Business Development Manager - Recycling (BH-285554) Location Ontario, Canada Sector Sales Salary 80,000.00 CAD to 90,000.00 CAD per annum
Our client, a growing Canadian healthcare technology and sustainability company, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager – Recycling to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial sales professional who enjoys building new markets, developing strategic partnerships, and driving meaningful sustainability initiatives.
This remote-friendly role is open to candidates across British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario and offers the opportunity to play a key role in expanding innovative recycling programs across healthcare, government, industrial, and commercial markets.
Compensation & Perks Salary:$80K-$90K base salary (flexible depending on experience)
Commission:Uncapped commission structure
Remote opportunity available across BC, Alberta, and Ontario

Key Responsibilities Develop and execute business development strategies to grow recycling programs
Identify and secure new business opportunities across: Healthcare organizations
Hospitals and Health Authorities
Government and municipalities
Manufacturing companies
Industrial and commercial organizations

Build relationships with: Sustainability leaders
Procurement teams
Environmental managers
Executive decision-makers

Manage the full sales cycle, including: Prospecting




Client presentations
Negotiations
Contract execution
Implementation

Expand existing customer accounts by identifying additional recycling opportunities
Leverage existing contracts and warm leads to accelerate growth
Represent the company at customer meetings, conferences, trade shows, and industry events
Collaborate with Operations and internal teams to ensure successful program delivery
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity, and sales forecasts
Monitor industry trends and identify new sustainability opportunities
Qualifications 7+ years of business development or strategic B2B sales experience
Proven success developing new business and acquiring new customers
Strong hunter mentality with the ability to build opportunities from the ground up
Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
Experience selling into one or more of the following industries preferred: Recycling
Environmental services
Waste management
Sustainability solutions
Energy solutions
Healthcare
Government
Industrial B2B

Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Comfortable engaging with executives, procurement teams, and operational leaders
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently
Strong CRM and pipeline management skills (HubSpot experience an asset)
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required
