Join the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chemical Biology (Biocatalysis). Engage in cutting-edge research, collaborating across disciplines and with partners, to advance chemical biology.

This role is integral to the project “Unlocking Nucleoside and Glycoconjugate Chemical Biology using Biocatalysis,” led by Professor Gavin Miller. The appointment lasts 24 months, starting January 1, 2027. Your expertise will enhance high-quality research, support project management, and involve publication and presentation of findings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and conduct research on biocatalysis and chemical biology
• Develop protocols for carbohydrate and nucleoside synthesis
• Manage research projects to meet deadlines




• Disseminate findings through publications and presentations
• Collaborate with academic and industrial partners, mentoring peers

Requirements:
• PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
• Strong track record in biocatalysis with publication evidence
• Experience in molecular synthesis and enzyme methods
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
