We are currently looking for an experienced Supervisor to join ourteam. Candidates with a demonstrated history of working to strict safety and quality standards in a supervisory capacity are strongly encouraged to apply.
The successful applicantwill demonstrate an excellent attitude towards safety and possess a strong team-leadership focus. A passion for drilling and a hard-working attitude is essential. Hourly Wage: $54.43/hr plus up to $40/hr bonus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Address any performance or conduct issues as they arise in a timely and respectful manner.
- Co-ordinate and allocatework as required to meet drilling plans in the most cost effective/efficient way while meeting safety compliance requirements, including theco-ordination of relief team members as required.
- Complete and approve daily reports to send to contracts administrators for payroll and clientinvoicing requirements.
- Provide technical advice tostaff to effectively manage drilling operations.
- Conduct daily shiftmeetings.
- Liaise with the Project Manager and/or Field Supervisorregarding the progress of the drilling program.
- Demonstrate safety leadership and assist team members with thedevelopment of thorough risk assessments and job safetyanalysis.
- Report all safety hazardsor workplace injury/illness to the client and management immediately.
- Lead investigations of allincidents / hazard management issues that occur in the work area and on shift andensure effective corrective actions are identified, implemented and monitoredin a timely and productive manner.
Position Qualifications:
- Common Core for First Line Underground Mine Supervisor - #770121
- JHSC certified
- Proven leadership and coaching ability.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Strong ability to develop relationships with stakeholders of various levels.
- Good communication skills –written and oral
- Current Drivers License.
- Computer skills such as MS Office – Word, Outlook, Excel.
- First Aid/CPR required.
