Job Description: The Nurse Practitioner blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with their legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of illnesses and stable chronic conditions. The practice involves working within the nursing program objectives, guidelines, and policies and procedures; building partnerships, completing community needs assessments; supporting inter-qualified collaboration; and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects.
Experience
Five (5) years experience as a nurse practitioner
Education
Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)
Licenses
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
Basic – Problem solving skills
Basic – Decision making skills
Basic – Communication skills
Basic – Interpersonal skills
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge in diverse cultures, values and traditions
Ability to be flexible and willing to change

La Loche is located approximately 347 km north of Meadow Lake
Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
