High School Math & Science Tutor (Part-Time, In-Person) Are you passionate about math and science and enjoy helping students build confidence and achieve real academic growth? Oxford Learning Halifax is seeking a motivated and reliable part-time Math & Science Tutor to join our team.

In this role, you will work directly with high school students (Grades 912), helping them strengthen both subject knowledge and learning skills in a supportive, structured environment.

This is an in-person position at our Halifax (Quinpool Road) location.

What Youll Do Teach up to 3 students at a time using Oxford Learnings proven methodologies Provide individualized support in subjects such as algebra, advanced functions, trigonometry, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology Track student progress and complete brief post-lesson notes Foster a positive, encouraging, and focused learning setting Build rapport with students while maintaining a professional and structured approach What Were Looking For Bachelors degree (or in progress) in a relevant field (Math, Science, Engineering, etc.) Strong knowledge of the high school math and/or science curriculum Experience tutoring, teaching or coaching Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Reliable availability for 23 evenings per week (4:007:00 pm or 4:008:30 pm)



Ability to commute to our Halifax location Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check (required) Nice to Have Ability to teach multiple subjects (e.g., both math and science) Experience working with different learning styles or students who need extra support Long-term availability (school year commitment or longer) What We Offer Consistent part-time evening hours (Monday
