What youll do: Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy Department.
Duties will include, but are not limited to: - Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely - Provide patient counselling and education on prescription and non-prescription medications - Administer injections/immunizations - Assist customers with locating merchandise on the sales floor - Review patient profiles to identify drug related problems and monitor medication adherence - Complete adjudication and sale of prescriptions and other purchases using the pharmacy software and point of sale (POS) systems - Support accurate pricing, ordering, and receiving procedures to minimize shrink and optimize sales - Supervise and train other dispensary staff as required to maintain efficient workflow within the dispensary - Comply with all legal requirements (Federal and Provincial) and Pharmacy Standards of Practice - Comply with Homestead Co-op policies and procedures and follow Health and Safety procedures.
