Cana is looking for casual Housekeeper / Janitor with a passion for the elderly to join one of our teams to support our residents in Victoria .

Shift: Casual Wage: $25.82 per hour Location of Work: 3814 Carey Road, Victoria, BC, V8Z 4C4 Open Positions Requirements Responsibilities Casual Janitor ($25.82 per hour) High school diploma or equivalent Valid certification in WHMIS.

Building Service Worker Certificate and/or

Institutional Aide Certificate is preferred.

Institutional cleaning experienceis preferred.

Legally allowed to work in Canada.

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Explicit Criminal Record Check Previous experience in a Long-Term Care facility is preferred.

Provides janitorial services in common areas and resident care rooms as needed.

Collects and disposes of recycling, shredding, and waste.





Reports repair needs and clears snow and debris from sidewalks.

Reviews maintenance logs and completes corrective actions promptly.

Monitors the facility and resolves building and equipment issues safely and in a timely manner.

Supports the facility Safety Program by identifying and reporting hazards, incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe equipment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Casual Housekeeping Aides ($25.82 per hour) Valid certification in WHMIS.

High school diploma or equivalent Effective English communication skills Legally eligible to work in Canada Clear Criminal Record Check Ability to multitask and meet deadlines Perform housekeeping and laundry services for residents Clean resident rooms and common areas Follow infection control and safety procedures Assist dietary and laundry departments when required
