As a Service Manager , youll lead a diverse team responsible for welding, mechanical services, and field support operations that keep our customers running safely and efficiently.

Were looking for a leader who is customer-focused, operationally driven, and committed to developing people while delivering strong business results.

In this role, youll oversee day-to-day service activities, build long-term operational strategies, and collaborate across departments to support exceptional service delivery.

Location: On-site at our Timmins, ON branch Salary Range: $125,000 - $130,000 per year, plus incentive plan Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day What Youll Do Manage work orders (WO) and work-in-progress (WIP) to support accurate, timely, and efficient service delivery.

Lead, mentor, and develop service supervisors and employees while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Develop and manage annual operating budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for operational improvement.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards while promoting a strong safety culture.

Partner with sales teams to support service quotations, contracts, and customer agreements.

Oversee warranty administration, cost recovery activities, and operational risk management.

Collaborate with operations teams to optimize scheduling, productivity, resource allocation, and service performance.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships,



addressing service concerns and supporting timely issue resolution.

Coordinate with parts, warehouse, and purchasing teams to ensure resources are available to meet operational needs.

Maintain accurate operational data, reporting, and performance metrics to support business decisions.

This position is classified as a Mid-Level Leader role in SMS Equipments competency framework, requiring demonstration of both core competencies (customer focus, collaboration, and technical/functional expertise) and leadership competencies (people leadership, managing through change and uncertainty, and influence.) What You Bring You bring 810 years of experience in large construction or mining operations , including significant leadership experience managing leaders and large teams , along with a strong understanding of service operations and a commitment to safe, customer-focused performance.

Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead large teams in a service or operational environment.

Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe work practices.

Experience developing and executing operational strategies, processes, and performance improvement initiatives.

Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.

Knowledge of mechanical, electrical,



and welding operations, maintenance, and repair practices.

Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis.

Experience managing contracts, parts operations, warranty programs, and quality processes.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, employees, and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves Experience leading teams of 30+ employees.

Experience supporting startup or greenfield operations.
