About the Job

The Product Developer will develop, implement, launch, and manage post‑launch activities for projects under their responsibility, including renovation, innovation, and cost/quality improvement. The role involves pilot testing, quantitative analysis, monitoring, and coordination of industrial production tests to support project launches. The candidate will represent R&I; interests across company projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Define the development plan for new products according to objectives, costs, and deadlines set in the project brief.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing to generate innovation within the category.
- Manage projects according to specific needs and the methodology defined by Danone.
- Act as the R&I; representative within each project team and ensure project follow‑up using R&I; tools.
- Develop formulas and processes considering requirements from Regulatory Affairs, Quality, production, etc.
- Design and execute pilot tests, organize tasting sessions with Marketing, and draw conclusions and recommendations for next steps.
- Industrialize new products with collaboration of engineering and production departments.

Salary & Perks

The annual base salary range for this position is $72,000 to $100,000 CAD.



Additional compensation may include a short‑term incentive bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, such as group insurance, group retirement plans, wellbeing account, flexible time off, true hybrid work environment, and paid parental leave.

About You

- Bachelor's degree in food science or a related field; a Master’s is an asset.
- Three to ten years of experience in food product development.
- Strong project management and IT skills.
- Ability to meet tight timelines and work under pressure.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Experience in plant‑based and dairy products is an asset.
- Experience in manufacturing scale‑up from bench to pilot to full manufacturing.
- Experience in personnel management is an asset.
- Flexibility to travel in US‑Canada (10‑20%).
- Bilingualism required: French and English (written and spoken).
